Gooseberry Pickle recipes



Ingredients

Gooseberry - 1 cup
Cilantro - 2 springs
Turmeric powder
Salt
Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
Urad Dal - 1 teaspoon
Channa Dal - 1 teaspoon
Ginger - 1" piece
Red chillies - 2
Green Chillies - 2
Curry leaves
Oil - 1 tablespoon
Rice - 1 cup


Method

1. Cook the rice, fluff it up with a fork and let it cool. You can also use leftover rice for this.
2. Heat oil in a pan a mustard seeds, urad dal and channa dal.
3. Add the chopped ginger, red  and green chillie and curry leaves.
4. Add the  gooseberry, turmeric powder and salt.
5. Mix in the cooked rice. Toss everything together.
6. Garnish with Cilantro.
7.Let it rest for few minutes before serving for the flavours to be absorbed by the rice.
